Dorothy (Pyrant) Yarbrough

Dorothy Lee Pyrant Yarbrough, age 89, of Providence, NC, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, at Roman Eagle Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born on October 31, 1930, in Caswell County, NC, a daughter of the late, Aubrey Lee Pyrant and Alice Hamlett Pyrant. She was a homemaker and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Mrs. Yarbrough was married to Burton Neal Yarbrough who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Yarbrough is survived by her children, Jeff Yarbrough (Gwendolyn); Terry Y. McCollum (Alvin); grandchildren, Beau McCollum (April), Meghan McCollum Brooks (Matt), Jeffrey “Jess” Yarbrough, Jr., and Matthew “Matt” Yarbrough.  

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Mt. View Cemetery with Rev. Rick Markham officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held at her son’s residence following the service at 463 Dogwood Dr. Danville, VA, 24541.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff on Garden Terrace North at Roman Eagle for the special care Mrs. Yarbrough received while she was in their care, and her at home caregivers Sandra Tickle, Brenda Heffinger, April Terry, and Shirley Betts.
