Dorothy Marie Hutcherson Simmons

On Sunday, August 5, 2018, Dorothy Marie Simmons, 84, of Keeling, Va., peacefully passed away at Roman Eagle Rehab Center.

She was born in Danville, Va., on October 28, 1933, to Willie Clyde Hutcherson and Naomi Barnes Hutcherson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Roger Clyde Hutcherson; and one great grandson, Gavin Coleman Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Simmons of Keeling; her sons, Danny Chilton (Pat) of Keeling, and Randy Chilton (Kaye) of Danville; daughter, Cindy Donovant (Ray) of Fieldale, Va., seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Highland Burial Park with Pastor Albert Moser officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home.
