Elsie Rigney Eanes

Mrs. Elsie Rigney Eanes, age 83, of , Danville, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Sovah

Of  Danville.

She was born in Danville on May 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Levi Preston Rigney, Sr., and

Otha Gentry Rigney.  She was married to Willie Eanes who also predeceased her in 1974.

Before her retirement,  Mrs. Eanes had worked as a secretary for the department of Child Support  Enforcement, and

 she was of the Christian faith. 

Mrs. Eanes is survived by her children, William “Tim” Eanes, Martin “Marty” Eanes (Cindy), Scott Eanes (Amy),

Anne C. Eanes, and Amy Rowland (Doug), all of Danville.   Also, grandchildren, Jonathon Eanes, Andrew

Eanes, Jeremy Eanes, Dylan Rowland, Joseph Eanes, Jenna Rowland and Tanner Rowland.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Eanes was predeceased by her siblings, Myrtle Staples, L. P. Rigney, Jr.,

 And Willie Arthur “Bill” Rigney.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eanes will be held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018

with the Pastor  Jimmy Calhoun officiating.  Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.  The family

will receive friends at Barker Chapel from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 prior to the service.

At other times, the family will be at the home of Scott and Amy Eanes, at 230 Forestroad Drive, Danville.
