Eugene Allen Hudgins, age 76, of Danville, Va. died at Sovah Health, Danville on August 9, 2017.

“Gene” was born in Danville on June 25, 1941, a son of the late William Murray Hudgins, and Emma Hall Hudgins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, James “Pete” Hudgins and Kenneth Ray Hudgins; and a sister, Barbara Haymore.

“Gene” is survived by his wife, Linda Hudgins; and a brother, Donnie Hudgins (Dianna).

He proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He worked for Dan River Mills and Saunder’s Building Supply.

A Memorial/visitation service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 7 p.m. at The Church of God of Prophecy, 406 Seminole Dr., Danville with officiating ministers, Becky Moss, and Albert Moser.
