Mrs. Gail Hodges Bowman, age 67, of Danville, VA, died on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her residence.
Mrs. Bowman was born on September 18, 1952, in Danville, VA, to the late Bobby Allen Hodges and Betty Sue Staple Hodges. Prior to being disabled she worked as a merchandiser for Acosta. She was a child of God and of the Christian faith. She was an extraordinary lady who showed love and kindness to everyone. She loved her family and pets and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by her husband David Bowman; daughter Tara Erb (Marvin); grandson, Cody David Clayton; sister, Barbara Bell (John); brother, Tony Hodges; nieces, Lindsay Bell and Jennifer Bell; nephews, Brian Hodges (Cara) and Dylan Hodges; great-niece, Chera; and great-nephew, Elijah.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bowman was predeceased by her brother Bobby Hodges; beloved pets, Buddy, Missy, and Lola.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, September 30, 2019 at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Adam Woods officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
