George Pierce Hardison

Mr. George Pierce Hardison, age 65, of 4900 Whitmell School Rd. Lot#11, Dry Fork, VA , passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Hospice of Rockingham in Reidsville, NC.

He was born on January 13, 1953, in Pittsylvania Co., VA, to the late Durham Lloyd Hardison, Jr. and Mary Bell Puree Hardison.

Before his retirement, Mr. Hardison worked as an electrician and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his children, Whitney Chattin and husband, Ben; and Matthew Hardison and wife, Tracy; grandchildren, Ethan Taylor, Jacob Chattin, Sarah Chattin, and Diamond Jones; and siblings, Durham Hardison, Joyce Soyars, Jean Wheeler, and Ted Hardison.

A celebration of Mr. Hardison’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
