Mr. George Worsham, age 76, of 1208 Talbott Rd, Blanch, NC, died on Friday, November 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Worsham was born on July 3, 1942, in Caswell County, North Carolina, to the late Oscar and Reccie Worsham.
Mr. Worsham worked as a farmer and pipe welder. George was a born again Christian, who knew Jesus Christ as his Savior and was a lifelong member of the Westover Baptist Church. Along with his love of the Lord, Mr. Worsham was a devoted grandfather and enjoyed taking his grandchildren everywhere with him. He enjoyed the outdoors, taking up hobbies in bee keeping, fishing, and farming. His boisterous personality ensured he never met a stranger.
Left to cherish Mr. Worsham’s memory are his son, Lin Worsham and wife Yvette of Blanch, North Carolina; his daughter, Tracy Knight and her husband Timothy, of Blanch, North Carolina; his adoring grandchildren, Kellie Knight, Savannah Worsham, Kendra Knight, Heath Worsham, and Isaac Worsham; and his brother, Aaron Worsham.
In addition to his parents Mr. Worsham was predeceased by his beloved wife Brenda Lewis Worsham; sisters, Virgie Davis, Dot Dodson, Yvonne Carter, Elva Stansbury, and Ellen Lee; as well as one brother, David Worsham.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Baptist Church, 5655 Riverside Dr., Danville, VA with Dr. Doug Barber and Pastor Mitch Cifers officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Westover Baptist Church, with the family receiving visitors at the residence at other times. Interment will follow at Moon Creek Family Cemetery. Caswell County American Legion Post 89 will provide military honors.
