Geraldine Poole

Geraldine Hardy Poole, age 67, of 371 Poole Road, Pelham, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2018, at Duke Hospital.

Mrs. Poole was born on September 29, 1950, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Calvin Thomas Hardy, Sr. and Annie Cook Hardy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her cats and dogs.  One of her favorite pastimes was going shopping. She was married to Pete Poole who preceded her in death and she attended White Oak Worship Center.

Mrs. Poole is survived by a daughter, Sandy Carver (Mark); a grandson, Briston Carver; sister, Cindy Caswell (Calvin); brothers, C.T. Hardy (Melissa), Bobby Heffinger (Joanie), Ricky Hardy, Kenneth Hardy and Donald Hardy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Wharton and Bessie Cook.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Reverend Roger Ewing officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens.
