Helen (Adkins) Holley

Helen Adkins Holley, age 96, of Danville, VA, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Riverside Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Holley was born on February 27, 1923, in Callands, VA, a daughter of the late Elijah and Mary Adkins. She was married to Harvey Holley, who preceded her in death. She was employed at Dan River Mills for forty seven years until her retirement.

Mrs. Holley is survived by her daughter, Peggy Ludwick; son, Harvey “Frank” Holley; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Lankford and Elizabeth Lawson.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of her daughter, Peggy, 6855 Old Hwy 86 North, Providence, NC, 27315 and her son Harvey, 16193 Mt. Cross Road, Dry Fork, VA, 24549.
