Holt Edmunds Saddler

Mr. Holt Edmunds Saddler, age 82, of 1000 Hither Lane, Dry Fork, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Saddler was born on November 23, 1936, Halifax County, VA, to the late Andrew Jackson Saddler and Ola Mabel Tuck Saddler.

Before his retirement, he worked at Dan River Mills and was a member of the Church of God.

Mr. Saddler is survived by his wife, Carrie Hazelwood Saddler, of the residence; children, Judy Walton and husband, Billy; Tony Saddler and his wife, Shelley; and Jennifer Saddler; grandchildren, Nikki Stevens; Brandon Milam; Dan Lineberger (Chelsea); Ryan Eman; and Travis Saddler; great-grandchildren, Joeigh and Olivia Stevens; Darien and Elijah Milam; and Carson Lineberger; brother, George Wallace Morris, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Saddler was predeceased by his children, Holt Andrew Saddler and Kent Franklin Saddler; siblings, Lillie Martin; Franklin Roosevelt Saddler; and Warren Morris.

A celebration of life for Mr. Saddler will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Anders officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home
