James Franklin Scearce

James Franklin Scearce, age 69, of Danville, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Scearce was born on December 26, 1949, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Melvin Scearce and Pearl Jones Scearce. He lived all of his life in Danville where he was employed with Danville Regional Medical Center until his retirement. 
Mr. Scearce is survived by his fiancé Willie Marie Walton who was the love of his life; two sisters, Brenda S. Trammell and Margaret S. Gardner.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Donna S. Giles and a brother, Sanford Ray Scearce. 
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Joyce officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.
