James Henry Swift died on June 22, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He had been in declining health for 5 years.

He was born February 15, 1932, the son of the late Mary “Myrtle” Keaton Swift and the late Raymond Lonnie Swift. He was also predeceased by his brother, Alvis Lonie Swift.

Mr. Swift is survived by his devoted sister, Margie Swift Terry; and his devoted nieces, Laura Swift, and Patricia Reynolds. He attended Schoolfield School. He was a veteran of the U.S Air Force, and served in the Korean War.

He worked over 20 years at the Disston Plant.

A private family Memorial Service was held at Highland Burial Park. Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Post 1097.
