Mr. John W. Greene Jr., age 79, of Providence, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at his residence.
Mr. Greene was born on December 12, 1939, in Providence, N.C., to the late John W. Green Sr. and Sibyl Gregory Green.
Mr. Greene is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Hazel Burchett Greene; children, Clay Greene (Patsy), Anthony Greene, Janet Ghumri, and Geanine Cannon (Gerald); daughter-in-law, Rebecca; he was blessed with multiple grandchildren and their children.
In addition to his parents Mr. Greene was predeceased by his son, Mark Greene; one brother; and one granddaughter.
Memorial services at 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Swicegood Funeral Home. Visitation at 3 p.m.
