Joseph Leonard Fox

Joseph Leonard Fox, age 83, of 541 Church Ave. Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Roman Eagle Health and Rehab.

Mr. Fox was born on December 4, 1935, in Danville, VA, a son of the late James Michael Fox and Lalah Setliff Fox. He lived most of his life in Danville where he was last employed with Lincoln Benefit Life as an executive sales director. Mr. Fox was married to Joan Austin Fox who survives and was a member of the Danville West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sisters, Ramona Maryman and Helen Lowe and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Gregory Stephen Fox and a brother, Pat Fox.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Elder Dexter Gravley officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and at other times the family will be at the residence. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York Inc. disaster relief fund, Attn. Accounting, 900 Red Mills Rd. Wallkill, NY, 12589-5200
