Kathryn (Williams) McKinney

Katheryn W. McKinney, age 96, of 3563 Shady Grove Rd, Providence, NC, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. McKinney was born on January 25, 1923, in Pittsylvania County, VA, a daughter of the late John Fosco Williams and Rosa Hollandsworth Williams. She was employed with J. C. Penny in sales and attended Pelham United Methodist Church.

Mrs. McKinney is survived by her son, Mark McKinney; sisters, Christine Wheeler, and Elaine Martin; brother, Reuben Williams; special friends and caregivers who she loved dearly, Debbie Harper, Robin Guynn and Ricky Keen; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Mrs.  McKinney was predeceased by her husband Fred W. McKinney; sisters, Gladys Smith, Bethel Wright and Pearl Williams; and her brother, Elmo Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Durham officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Danville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Pelham United Methodist Church, 594 Red Marshall Rd, Pelham, NC 27311, or the Pelham Volunteer Fire Department, 4895 Old Us Highway 29, Pelham, NC 27311.
