Lenora Brooks Haynes, age 84, of Danville, VA, died on Friday    January 5, 2018 at Chatham Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Haynes was born on October 1, 1933, in Robbinsville, NC, a daughter of the late Dillard Hamilton Brooks and Flora Williams Brooks. She was employed with Dan River Mills as a weaver and was a member of Danville South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was married to Bennie M. Haynes who preceded her in death on November 3, 1997.

Mrs. Haynes is survived by two sons, Johnnie Haynes (Lucy) and Dannie Haynes (Dorothy); two grandsons, Heath Haynes and Kevin Haynes; granddaughter, Tiffany Weber; sister, Thelma Ervin; step-grandchildren; Mack Bensinger and Mackenzy Metts; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Ruth Brooks Williams.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Elder Larry Love and Johnnie Haynes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery.
