Mrs. Lina M. Brackin, age 91, of 516 Parkland Dr., Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, September 01, 2017 at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born on February 19, 1926, in Bruchkobel, Germany, to the late Frederick Meininger and Maria Treulieb.

Mrs. Brackin was a homemaker, and she was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Brackin was the last of seven children.

She is survived by her husband, Armistead D. Brackin; children, Heide Irvin and husband, Ed, of Danville, VA and Linda Fowlkes and husband, Latney, of Dry Fork, VA; grandchildren, Emily Keaton and husband, Roger, Christopher Irvin, Courtney Fowlkes, and Andrea Walker; great-grandchildren, Emily Skye Epler and Cheyenne Lipford.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Brackin was predeceased by six siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 05, 2017 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 314 West Main St., Danville, VA with Pastor Meredith Williams officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 04, 2017 at the church. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 516 Parkland Dr., Danville, VA. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
