Mary Lee (Wrenn) Rawlins

Mary Lee Wrenn Rawlins, age 82, of Shawsville, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Carillion New River Valley Medical Center, in Christiansburg, VA.

She was born on March 11, 1937, in Danville, to the late William M. “Bill” Wrenn and Emma Garrison Wrenn.

Mrs. Rawlins was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She attended Stokesland Baptist church, and she also attended George Washington High and Averett University.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles “Bud” Rawlins, of the residence; children, David Rawlins and wife, Sarah, of Greensboro, NC and Cindy Vechinski and husband, Douglas, of Huntsville, AL; and grandchildren, Darien, Jared, Calvin, and Emmaleora.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 05, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home, 564 West Main St., Danville, VA. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ruffin Community Cemetery in Ruffin, NC.
