Mrs. Patricia Davis Smith, age 77, of 2241 Franklin Tpk. Danville Va., died on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Mrs. Smith was born on November 18, 1939, in North Carolina, to the late Lexie Davis and Gertrude Wolfe Davis. She was self-employed as a private sitter and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her children: Laura Elizabeth Smith, David Bradford Smith, and Christopher Mark Smith; granddaughters, Ashley Elizabeth Smith Trail, Amber Lynn Hankins Dodd, Alexander Nathan Smith and Alana Dawn Smith; great-grandchildren, Christian Michael Trail and Hunter Nathan Smith; and one sister, Margaret Gardner.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Ted Nathan Smith; granddaughter, April Michelle Hankins.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
