Mrs. Pauline Setliff Stallings, age 92, of 194 Searcy Street, Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at SOVAH-Danville.

She was born on June 10, 1925, in Danville, VA to the late Floyd Setliff and Cora Hudson Setliff.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Stallings worked at Burlington Industries in the weave room, and she later became a babysitter for many children whom she loved dearly. She was a member of Sheldon Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Shorter and her husband, Paul, of Danville, VA; daughter-in-law, Glenda B. Stallings, of Axton, VA; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three special nieces, who helped take care of Mrs. Stallings when she became ill.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Stallings was predeceased by her husband, Waverly Luther Stallings, children, Waverly Stallings, Roger Stallings, Gary Stallings, Velna June Stallings, and Laverne Stona Stallings; three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Markham and Dale Herndon officiating. Visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Happy Home Christian Church Cemetery in Ruffin, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sheldon Baptist Church.
