Peggy (Crabb) McGinnis

Peggy McGinnis, age 86, of Danville, VA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. McGinnis was born on December 21, 1932, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late, Edward Crabb and Viola Elizabeth Pollard Crabb. She was married to Robert Lawrence McGinnis who preceded her in death. She retired as a Supervisor from Dan River Mills and was a member of North Danville Church of Christ.

Mrs. McGinnis is survived by her children, Debra M. Jonas (Bernard), Robert Lawrence  McGinnis II (Tammy) and Robin Wright (G.W.); grandchildren, Josh Conner (Brittany), Kristen Potter (Jamie) and Tomi-Lauren McGinnis; great-grandchildren, Will and Charis Potter, CJ, Savannah and Josh Conner; great-great-grandchild, Presley Smith; also two brothers and three sisters; and, special caregivers, Dianne Hudgins and Stacey Adams.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McGinnis was predeceased by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Hershel Stone officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends and relatives at the residence at other times. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
