Robert Deitz

Robert L. Deitz, age 82, of 3834 Axton Road, Axton, VA, died on Friday, April 26, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Deitz was born on July 18, 1936, in Alloy, West Virginia, a son of the late Donnie William Deitz and Bertha Annis Morton Deitz. He served in the US Army for 22 ½ years and worked 22 ½ years in the civil service until his retirement.

Mr. Deitz is survived by a son, Roger Deitz, of the home; three grandchildren, Billy Deitz of Axton, VA,  Margaret Deitz of Richmond, VA and Emma Deitz of Martinsville, VA.          

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Emmi L. Deitz; and one brother, Larry Deitz.                                           

A private graveside service will be conducted at the Deitz Family Cemetery with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 1097 and the US Army.
