Sharon Renee Scearce

Sharon Renee Scearce, age 63, of Pelham, NC, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital.

Sharon was born on February 19, 1956, in Danville, VA, to the late Maynard William Sandridge and Shirley Jean Sandridge.

She worked as the General Manager for Boddie Noell Enterprises on Piney Forest Rd. in Danville, VA. Sharon aka “granny” was loved and admired by many. She had many talents (arm wrestling champ), and varied interest in traveling (great Alaska Adventure). Sharon was always available for a spontaneous trip, or naps anywhere (her favorite on a beach). She enjoyed her family and friends and making wonderful memories.

Sharon  is survived by her children, Crystal Sims (Daniel) and Michelle Szymanek (Greg); special friend, Robert Wiley; siblings, Tammy Scearce (William), William Sandridge (Toni), Lisa Guill, and Sandy Moser (Keith); grandchildren, Sydney Piercy, Abbygail Sims, and Olivia Sims; nieces, Shirley Landon (Kris), Lauren Moser, and Hannah Sandridge; nephews, Richard Scearce (Tiffany), Nicholas Moser, Hayden Sandridge, Jordan Guill,  Kenseth Guill; and family friend, Pam Morgan; “and a big loving family.”

In addition to her parents, Sharon was predeceased by nephew, Preston Guill.

On Thursday, March 14, 2019 visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a celebration of Sharon’s life following at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Poe officiating. At other times, the family will be receiving family and friends at her residence.
