Sylvia Joan (Parcell) Myrick

Mrs. Sylvia Joan Parcell Myrick, age 75, of Riverside Health Care formerly of 1317 Pumpkin Creek Lane, Danville, VA, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2018 at SOVAH-Health, Danville, VA.

Mrs. Myrick was born on December 5, 1942, in Danville, VA, to the late William E. Parcell, Sr., and Rebecca Conway Parcell. She married Vincent L. Myrick Nov. 15, 1975. Mrs. Myrick worked in the medical field for over 30 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Danville Memorial Hospital and Riverside Health Care. She was a member of the College Park Baptist Church.

Mrs. Myrick is survived by her loving husband Vincent L. Myrick of the home; two brothers, William E. Parcell, Jr. (Clair) and Ronald C. Parcell (Reetha), all of Danville; one sister, Revonda P. Huppert (Mitch), of Durham, NC; two nieces; one nephew; one great-nephew; step-daughter, Laura M. Anderson, of Danville; step-son, Gary A. Myrick (Jennifer), of Altoona, PA; and, seven step-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11 AM at MT. View Cemetery with Dr. Cam McIntire officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family at the residence at other times, 1317 Pumpkin Creek Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
