Theodore Jack Smith

Mr. Theodore Jack Smith, age 72, of 453 Parker Rd, Danville, VA, passed away on August 20, 2019 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA.

Mr. Smith was born on February 3, 1947, in Danville, VA, to the late Paul Jack Smith and Gladys Rose Scribner Smith. He later married Peggy Jean Rudder Smith who predeceased him.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years of dedicated work.

Mr. Smith is survived by his loving children, Mark Smith (Angela), Tammy Moore (James), Jonathan Smith (Tammy), Glenn Smith (Tina), Michael Smith and Caleb Hyler; as well as many foster children; grandchildren, Collen Smith, Madison Smith, Mikayla Smith, Natalie Moore, Noah Moore, London Smith, Paris Smith, Hannah Moore, and Jordan Bowling; great-grandchild, Presley Cora Smith; brother, Tharon Smith; and sister, Donna Smith.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Smith was predeceased by a son, Carroll Anthony Smith; and sister, Patricia Nickell, and grandson, Mark Anthony Smith, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. At other times the family will be located at 961 Walnut Creek Rd., Danville, VA 24541 on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM.  Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
