Mr. Tommy “Steve” English, age 65, of 1236 West Main St., Apt. 2B, Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 03, 2018 at SOVAH Health.

He was born on October 17, 1952, in Gretna, VA, to the late Thomas English and Helen McGhee English.

Before becoming disabled, Mr. English worked at Dan River Mills and Reynolds Paving Company.

He is survived by his sons, Steve Adam English, of Arrington, VA and Steven English; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth English, of Danville, VA; grandchildren, Hailey and Hayden English, who were the apples of his eye; daughter, Savannah Gill, of Yanceyville, NC; and brother, Barry Edwards English, of Danville, VA.

In addition to his parents, Mr. English was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy English.

A celebration of Mr. English’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 05, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Blevins officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
