Mrs. Virginia Coleman, age 89, of 784 Arnett Blvd., Danville, VA, died on February 9, 2018 at SOVAH Health-Danville.
Mrs. Coleman was born on February 19, 1928, in Danville, VA, to the late Robert Franklin Furr and Della Hardy Furr.
She worked at Southern Mills Drapery Shop and was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Coleman is survived by her son, Ronnie Coleman; grandchildren, Jennifer Hardy (Jake) and Tyler Coleman; sisters, Frances Cook (Bill) and Doris Furr; brothers, Freddy Furr (Peggy) and Owen “Bootie” Furr (Ezetta); sister-in-law, Darlene Furr; daughter-in-law, Vicky Coleman; and step-granddaughter, Amber Lee (Michael).
In addition to her parents Mrs. Virginia Coleman was predeceased by her beloved husband, Henry F. Coleman; son, H. F. Coleman; and brothers, Tommy Furr, Robert Furr, and Franklin Furr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with the Reverend Susan Hannah officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Bill and Frances Cook, 108 Dakota Dr., Danville, VA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3090 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540.
