Wayne Thomas Moser, age 75, of 10321 Franklin Tpke, Dry Fork, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 9, 2019 at UNC Rockingham in Eden, NC. He was born in Danville on May 22, 1944, the son of the late Edgar Thomas Moser and Annie Dalton Moser. Wayne had served his country in the US Army and was a member of Axton Church of God of Prophecy. He was married to Ruby McGhee Moser, who survives him of the residence. In addition, he is survived by his children, Tony Moser, Barry Spence, and Janice Crouse; grandchildren, Steven Moser, Ricky Edwards, Amanda Voyt, Tessie London, Zachery Ray Spence, Ashly Christine Spence, Carlie Moser, Brady Moser and Sandra Burke. Other survivors include his brothers, Clarence Douglas Moser, Albert Lee Moser, and Lawrence Gene Moser; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friend, Melissa Moser. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Moser London; three sisters, Helen Campbell, Bernice Updike, and Evelyn Clay, and one brother, James W. Moser.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Albert Moser, and Rev. Jim Critchley officiating. The family will receive friends at Barker Chapel one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be given by the American Legion Post 1097 Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 10321 Franklin Tpke, Dry Fork, VA, 24549.
