Mr. William “Billy” “Doc” Dudley Milam, age 68, of 1188 Kent St., Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, March 09, 2018 at SOVAH Health.
He was born on May 27, 1949, in Danville, VA, to the late William Ellis Milam and Flossie Custer Milam.
Before his retirement, Mr. Milam worked as a truck driver and attended The Church of God.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Milam; grandchildren, Skyler Farthing, Sommer Farthing, Jessica Nicole Scearce, and Brandon Ellis Milam; great-grandchildren, Avery Leigh Farthing, and Kimber Grace Shelton; siblings, Barbara McCormick and Elsie Taylor; Chad Jones, who was like the son Mr. Milam never had; mother of his children, Linda Saunders; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents Mr. Milam was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy Milam; siblings, Margaret Gravely, Wyvonnie Haley, and Lois Neal.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Becky Moss and Rev. Albert Moser officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the residence of his daughter, Tammy Milam, 1665 Randolph Dr., Keeling, VA 24566.
