Alice (Griffin) Hite

Mrs. Alice G. Hite, age 76, of Ringgold, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the last survivor of her generation.

She was born on February 04, 1943, in Danville, VA, to the late John Griffin and Emma Owen Griffin.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Hite worked as a CNA at Piney Forest Health and Rehabilitation and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children, Eddie Hite, Jr. (Kris), of Ringgold, VA; Tammy Sexton (Wayne), of Greenville, SC.; and Douglas W. Hite (Robin), of Madison, NC; and granddaughter, Lindsey Hite (fiancée, Scott Slade).

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hite was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Hite, Sr. and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Stateline Baptist Church, 650 Holland Rd., Danville, VA with Rev. Eddie Hite, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 1201 Ferguson Rd., Ringgold, VA.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Boris Darovsky, Michelle Gibson, and Commonwealth Hospice for the loving care they showed to Mrs. Hite during their care of her.
