Archer Andrew Hyler

Archer A. Hyler, 92, of Danville went to his Heavenly home on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Archer was born on September 15, 1929, a son of the late William James Hyler and Janie Childress Hyler. Archer lived his entire life in the Bachelors Hall community and was known by many as "The Mayor" Archer served in the Korean War. Archer retired from Corning Glass Works.

Archer met and married the love of his life Margie Nell Motley Hyler and had 60 years of Marriage before she departed on December 6, 2010.

Archer was a proud Father of 2 children: Mike Hyler (Robin) and Barbara Hyler McCarty (Jody). He was the PROUD Papa of 4 Grandchildren: TJ Bernard, Jonathan Bernard, Kelsey Hyler and Evan Hyler.  4 great grandchildren: James, Jessica, Tyler and Katie and a brother, James Hyler.

Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 2:00 pm in Schoolfield Cemetery with Reverend Daniel Custer officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
