Billy Wayne Barber

Billy Wayne Barber, age 73, of Danville, VA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Sovah Healthcare.  

Billy was born July 28, 1949 in Danville, VA to Marie Kirby Barber and Richard Barber.

Billy retired from Goodwill Industries in 2013 where he had worked as a Parking Lot Cleaner.

Billy was predeceased by his parents and also his Uncle Jack and Aunt Ann Kirby who cared for Billy and his mother most of their lives.

Left to cherish Billy's memory is a host of family and friends.

Billy loved to color and go to church services at Roman Eagle Rehab and Health Care Center.  The family would like to thank all of the staff at Roman Eagle for the tender care they gave to Billy while he was there.

Billy's body may be viewed at Swicegood-Barker Funeral Home, 564 West Main Street, Danville, VA. beginning Sunday, June 18, 2023.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Schoolfield Cemetery, 360 Schoolfield Drive with the Reverend Mike Wiles officiating.  The family would love to visit with everyone after the service.
