Obituary

Bobby Gene Hooker, age 82, of Ringgold, VA, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, at UNC Rockingham.

Mr. Hooker was born on September 2, 1940, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Patrick Henry Hooker and Lucy Mae Rowsey Hooker.

Mr. Hooker lived most of his life in Ringgold and was employed with John W. Daniels as a brick mason. He was a lifelong Redskins fan with his son and enjoyed being outdoors. He was married to Elois Brumfield Hooker who survives and was a member of the Tabernacle.

In addition to his wife, Elois, he is survived by daughters, Wanda Kaye Yeatts (Gary Yeatts), Sharon Faye Gee (Timothy Gee); son, Bobby Gene Hooker II (Kristina Hooker). He is also survived by his granddaughters, Amber and Elizabeth; grandsons, Joshua, Keith and Patrick. Mr. Hooker also has two great grandchildren.

A private funeral service will be conducted at Barker Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Bray officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
