Brenda Carol (Boyd) Turpin

Brenda Boyd Turpin, age 69, of Milton, NC, died on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Turpin was born on August 10, 1949, in Danville, VA, the daughter of the late Alvin Boyd and Sally Payne Boyd.

Mrs. Turpin was an avid writer and wrote poetry as a hobby.

Mrs. Turpin is survived by her children, Timothy Sage (Janice) of Danville, VA, Carrie Teresa Maison of Herndon, VA and Chris Turpin (Teresa) of Texas; grandchildren, Lily Maison ,Pepper Maison, Cale Turpin and Luke Turpin; step-grandson, Kenneth Osborne; and aunt, Margaret Marshall. She leaves behind not only her family, but her constant companion, her dog, Bella.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turpin was predeceased by her husband, William “Red” Turpin.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Yeaman officiating. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 09, 2019 at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Wanda Evans, 115 Longview Avenue, Danville, VA. Swicegood Funeral Service is respectfully serving the Turpin family.
