Carolyn (Moore) Carswell

Mrs. Carolyn Carswell, age 80, of Ringgold, VA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 and into the arms of her beloved husband, Tommy.

She was born on April 27, 1941, in Danville, VA, to the late Robert Evan Moore and Virgie Liner Moore.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Carswell worked at Goodwill and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children: Teresa Lynn Bestoso (Ed); Susan Allen; Thomas Edward Carswell, Jr.; and Tammy McGinnis (Lawrence); grandchildren: Brom Miller III (Jennifer); Danielle Saunders; Amber Bailey (Tim); Britney Chodkowski (Andrew); Greg Wright (Katelyn); Adrianna Carswell; Carolyn Ann Carswell; Caleb Allen; and Tomi-Lauren McGinnis; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carswell was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Edward Carswell, Sr.

A celebration of Mrs. Carswell’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 at Swicegood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 98 McGinnis Lane, Ringgold, VA.
