Carolyn Diane (Stewart) Williams

Carolyn Diane Stewart Williams, age 74, of Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Williams was born on January 9, 1949, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late, William A. Stewart and Flossie Pruitt Stewart.

Mrs. Williams lived most of her life in Danville and was of the Christian faith. Her only hobby and past time was shopping. Also, Mrs. Williams loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition, she loved going to the beach, so she could go shopping.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her daughter, Cathy Payne (Robbie); ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and sisters, Ann Witt, Elaine Harper, and Joan Gray.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Larry Koral; brother, William “Bill” Stewart; sisters, Delores Briggs, Gloria Hayes and Pat Burke.

A celebration of Mrs. Williams’ life will be conducted on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home with Reverend Daryl Joyce officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Danville-Pittsylvania County Cancer Society, 223 Riverview Dr., Ste. J, Danville, VA 24541.
