Cecil Raymond Fuquay, Sr.

Mr. Cecil Raymond Fuquay, Sr., age 76, of Eden, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 11,2021, at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, North Carolina.

Mr. Fuquay was born on April 13, 1945, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Chester Edward Fuquay and Lala Marie Edwards Fuquay. He was a faithful member of Welcome Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and trustee.

Mr. Fuquay is survived by his children, Melissa Emmerson (Kevin) and Cecil “Ray” Fuquay, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristen Krider (Dustin), and Elijah Emmerson; brothers, Cleo Fuquay (Faye) and Glen Fuquay (Lugene) ; and sisters, Alice Glasgow (Mike), and Bonnie Koch (Harold); and sister-in-law, Cheryl Fuquay.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Fuquay was predeceased by his brother, Draper Fuquay

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 2PM at Welcome Baptist Church in Milton, North Carolina with Reverend Jimmy Reeves and Pastor Kevin Emmerson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

At other times the family will receive friends at the residence of Barbara Cook, 886 Park Springs Road, Providence, North Carolina 27315.
