Charles David Caswell

Mr. Charles David Caswell, age 60, of Pelham, NC, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at SOVAH-Health Danville, Danville, VA.

He was born on November 06, 1960, in Danville, VA, to James Charles Caswell and the late Eunice Duneveant Caswell.

Before his retirement, Mr. Caswell worked at Lowe’s in the Lumber Yard and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rice Caswell, of the residence; father, James Charles Caswell; children: Steven Hazelwood (deceased); Mary Walker (Reggie), of Danville; Crystal Bays (Bobby), of Indiana; Charles Hazelwood (Jamie), of Danville; Joseph Hazelwood, of the residence; Jamie Caswell, of New Mexico; and James “JD” Caswell, of Danville; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Walter Caswell (Annette) and Ambrose Caswell (Sheila).

The family will be receiving family and friends between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020, at the residence, 1215 Arch Cook Rd., Pelham, NC.

The family request that donations be made to Swicegood Funeral Home to help pay for Mr. Caswell’s funeral expenses. Checks may be mailed in or payment may be made in person at 564 West Main Street, Danville, Virginia 24541. Donations will also be accepted over the telephone with a credit card (434-792-5611).
