Charlie Lee Walker

Charlie Lee Walker, age 89, of 1277 Vandola Church Road, Danville, VA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at his residence.

Mr. Walker was born on August 28, 1928, in Java, VA, a son of the late Buck Thomas Walker and Gracie Landrum Walker. He lived most of his life in Danville, VA, where he was employed as a supervisor at Dan River Mills. Mr. Walker was married to Virginia Adkins Walker who survives of the residence. He was a member of Stokesland Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Tony Walker (Cathy) and Michael Walker (Rhonda); step-children, Lisa Stewart (Bobby), Greg Adkins (Carol) and Chris Adkins; brother, Buck L. Walker (Sharon); and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Mr. Walker is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by many siblings.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Chuck Vickers officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
