Charlotte Ann Conner

Charlotte Ann Conner, age 67, of Ringgold, VA, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, after fighting a courageous battle with Lewy Body dementia.

Mrs. Conner was born on February 27, 1956, in Halifax County, VA, a daughter of the late Elsie Mae “Peggy” Conner.

Mrs. Conner lived most of her life in Ringgold where she was a caregiver for many years. Ann was a wonderful mother who loved quilting, crocheting, cooking and growing beautiful flower gardens. Most of all she loved being Nana Ann to all of her precious grandchildren who she loved to the moon and back. She loved God and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Conner is survived by her children, Steven Phillips, Jennifer P. King, Chris Phillips (Kristi), and Stephanie Rich (Allen); grandchildren, Trysten Phillips, Kaylee Phillips, Jack King, Ava King, Thomas Phillips, Caylen Phillips and Elijah Rich; special companion, James Wall; brothers, Daniel Raymond “Buck” Conner, Benjamin Thomas Conner, Sr. (Kim); sisters, Roberta Alice Hall and Marian Rebecca Phelps (Coleman); many nieces and nephews and Wendy Lou who was like a daughter.

In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by brothers, Richard, Robert and Kenneth Conner and brother-in-law, Donald Hall.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Allen Morris. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and at other times the family will be at the residence, 568 Rocksprings Rd. Ringgold, VA, 24586. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the love and care given to Ann by her family, special friend, Shelia Eanes, Centra Bedford Hospital and Centra Hospice.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donation to be made in Charlotte’s name to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. S.W., Lilburn, GA, 30047.
