Christine Dalton Obituary
Christine Thornton Dalton, age 93, of Danville, Virginia, a resident of Holliday Village, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at SOVAH- Danville.
Mrs. Dalton was born on December 16, 1926, in Radford, Virginia, to the late James T. Thornton and Julia Hinkley Thornton. She lived most of her life in Danville where she worked at Dan River Mills for 23 years, as well as a custodian for Southern Virginia Mental Health Institution for 12 years.
Mrs. Dalton is survived by her daughter, Betty Hilton Bowman; grandsons, Scott Hilton and Staton Angle (Megan); great granddaughter, Wrena Angle and sister, Maybelle T. “Sissy” May.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dalton was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Lee Dalton; daughter, Wanda D. Angle; brothers, William Dyer Thornton and Burley T. Thornton and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
