Clarence Travis Obituary
Mr. Clarence Wesley Travis, age 85, of Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at SOVAH Health—Danville.
He was born on July 21, 1936, in Danville, VA, to the late Henry J. Travis, Sr. and Virginia Catherine Turpin Travis.
Before his retirement, Mr. Travis worked at Corning Glass and was a member of RiverOak Church of God.
He is survived by his brother, Pete Travis; niece, Cindy Hackworth (Robert); great-nephews, Jonathan Travis Hackworth (Leslie), Matthew Ryan Hackworth (Allison), and Joshua Andrew Hackworth (Kayla); great-great nephews, Matthew Hackworth, Jr. and Levi Hackworth; and great-great nieces, Caroline Hackworth and Hanna Hackworth.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Medford officiating. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Mr. Travis’ brother, Pete Travis, 246 Hermitage Dr., Danville, VA.
