Daisy Belle (Harris) Rundles

Mrs. Daisy Belle Harris Rundles, age 76, of Danville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. 

She was born in Pittsylvania County on January 27, 1946; she was the daughter of the late Luther Andrew Harris and Mary Lila Royal Harris. 

Daisy was married to Joseph Howard Rundles who predeceased her on May 29, 2013.  She had retired on disability as a quality control clerk at a dry cleaners in Iowa before returning to Danville. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Francine Latrell Hairston, and three brothers, William Oliver Harris; Harry Lloyd Harris and Andy Lee Harris.

Daisy is survived by her brothers, Donald W. Harris(Vicky), of Martinsville; Luther E. Harris (Suki) and James Andrew Harris, of Danville.  Also surviving are her sisters, Gladys Mae Harris and Lelia Kay Harris, of Danville; Joyce Ann Harris, of Callands; and Fannie Frances Mays, of Ridgeway, VA., also two favorite great-nephews, Isiah Harris and Anthony Harris, Jr., and two great- nieces, Khaya Washington and Ayaha Washington.

A celebration of Daisy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
At other times the family will be at the home of Anthony Harris, Sr., at 5716 Strawberry Road, Chatham, VA  24531.
