Darold Joseph Booher

Darold Joseph Booher, age 92, of 1488 David Giles Ln, Blairs, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Sovah Health Danville.

Mr. Booher was born on December 24, 1931, a son of the late Ernest Raymond Booher and Verlie Daniel Booher. He lived most of his life in Danville where he was employed with Lorillard as an electrician. Mr. Booher was married to Mary Ellen Payne Booher who preceded him in death and was a member of Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church.

Mr. Booher is survived by his daughter, Vickie Booher Horton (James); son, Billy Wayne Booher; grandchildren, Stephanie Horton, Christina Rollins, Sabrina Fowlkes (Clay), Joshua Horton (Jennifer), and Chris Booher (Hannah); ten great grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Booher Romero and Ricky Booher.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Danville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Roy Frazier officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening March 17, 2023 from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home.
