Dorothy "Dot" Adkins

Dorothy “Dot” Weatherford Adkins, age 87, of Danville, VA, passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Piney Forest Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Adkins was born on December 20, 1933, in Caswell County, NC, a daughter of the late Ester Linwood Weatherford and Lilly Roberts Weatherford. She lived most of her life in Danville, where she was employed with Disston until her retirement. She was married to John Adkins who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Adkins is survived by her son, Randy Adkins (Denise) and one grandson, Ethan Adkins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, Pauline Goodson, Aubrey Weatherford, Ruby Reid, Evelyn Keatts and Eunice James.

Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, September 6, 2021, at 11:00 AM in Highland Burial Park with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating.
