Ellen Underwood Obituary
Mrs. Ellen Ilene Boyd Underwood, age 96, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Saturday April 30, 2022, at Piney Forest Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Underwood was born on March 9, 1926, in Virginia, to the late John and Dora Boyd.
Ellen worked for the City of Danville until her retirement and attended Westover Church of God.
Ellen is survived by son, Charles Underwood; grandsons, Daniel Underwood, and Jimmie Underwood Jr; great-grandsons, Nathaniel Underwood, and Noah Underwood; great great grandson, Jace Underwood; sisters, Elsie Hoskins, and Shirley Bray.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was predeceased by her husband, Jesse Lee Underwood; sons, Robert Lee Underwood, and Jimmie Marvin Underwood.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday May 4, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Kenneth Barnes officiating.
