Ernest Eugene Dill Jr.

Ernest Eugene Dill Jr., age 92 of Danville Virginia passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Riverside Healthcare.

Mr. Dill was born on March 11, 1931 in Danville, Virginia to the late Ernest Eugene Dill and the late Ollie Sexton Dill.

Mr. Dill was a member of the Riveroak Church of God. He served as the church clerk, choir member, Sunday school teacher and as a member of the Church Council. Mr. Dill was also a member of the Schoolfield Friends Club and the Red men #124. Before his retirement; he was worked at Colonial Stores for 37 years, worked for Piggly Wiggly for 8 years, later at Old Dutch.

Mr. Dill is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Dill; two sons, Reverend Eugene Rickey, "Rick" Dill and Mark Jeffrey "Jeff' Dill; 4 grandchildren, Eugene Scott Dill, Thomas Jeremy Dill, Mark James Dill, and Christina Lynn Dill Davis; 8 great grandchildren and one niece, Carolyn R. Robuk.

Mr. Dill is predeceased by his half-brother, Bruce Smith and his sister, Muriel Batson (Lloyd Batson) and nephew Randal Batson

Visitation will be at the Riveroak Church of God on Wednesday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The family will receive friends at the residence at 405 Melrose Dr., Danville, Virginia 24540. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday November 9, 2023 at 1pm at Riveroak Church with Pastors Eric Medford, Joe Hopkins and Jason Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.
