George R. Gammon of 235 Plantation Road passed away Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born in Danville, Virginia to Alonza and Ophelia Gammon.

Mr. Gammon is survived by his son Robert (Teresa) and his daughter Arlene Lahtinen (Matt). In addition, Mr. Gammon was predeceased by his wife Irene Francis Gammon, his son Alan Wayne Gammon, his daughter Janie Amparo Hilton, and his grandson Thomas Turner.

Mr. Gammon is survived by his grandchildren: Chris Turner, Sarah Barker, Robert Amparo (Amy), Jannelle Amparo (Kyle), Calvin Emerson (Debra), Dustin Hilton (Sabrina), and Earnest Lance Hilton. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Kenley Turner, Samantha Montee, Alan Mays, Lucas Mays and Sophia Emerson.

A memorial service will be held at Pathway Church, (823 Westover Drive), today, October 6, 2016 at 2:00 PM by Joseph Hopkins. The family will be at 534 Ricketts Street, Danville, Virginia, 24540.
