Obituary
Mr. Gerald Edward Moran Sr., age 77, of 226 Withers Rd, Danville, VA, 24541, died on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022, at SOVAH Health-Danville.
Mr. Moran was born on February 15th, 1945, in Danville, VA, to the late Leonard and Ada Salmon Moran. He worked as Minister of Music at River Oak Church of God.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Willis Moran; sons Andrew Moran and Chris Moran; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers Morris Moran and Doug Moran.
In addition to his parents Mr. Moran was predeceased by his son Gerald Edward Moran II; four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 19th, 2022, at 2PM, at River Oak Church of God with Bishop Tim Hill and Reverend Eric Medford officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, March 18th, 2022, from 6-8PM at the church. At other times the family will receive friends at the residence. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville, VA.
