Geraldine Jarrett Mason

Mrs. Geraldine Jarrett Mason, age 81, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Mason was born on February 13, 1942 in Pittsylvania County, to the late Kathleen Barbour Taylor and Joel Jarrett Taylor.

Mrs. Mason lived most of her life in Danville where she was a switchboard operator for DCC.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her sons; Gerry Allen Taylor (Regina), Ralph W. Mason Jr. and sisters, Gladys Adkins (Jim), Kathie Osborne (friend Kenneth Phillippi).

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Willie Mason; daughter in-law, Robin Mason; step-son, Doug Mason; and her dog companion Che Che.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday November 20, 2023 at 11AM at Swicegood Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Thurman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Danville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
